Recently, Governor Gavin Newsom authorized the California Genetic Information Personal privacy Act , which have been passed unanimously by the Ca Senate and Assembly within September. The Act demands direct-to-consumer genetic testing businesses to provide consumers with particular information regarding the company’ ersus policies and procedures for that collection, use, maintenance, plus disclosure of genetic information, and to obtain a consumer’ h express consent for selection, use, or disclosure from the consumer’ s genetic information. The law imposes civil fees and penalties for a violations, enforced by Attorney General, a district lawyer, county counsel, city lawyer, or city prosecutor.
